When Healthfirst opened its doors in 1973 as Family Planning Health Services (FPHS), the organization was the only non-profit reproductive health provider in central Wisconsin. The plan was to develop a quality facility offering confidential reproductive healthcare. Since then, it has expanded its services and geographical footprint – now offering its reproductive health services in nine counties and the WIC program in four of those counties. In addition to the clinical services Healthfirst offers they also pride themselves on being an active community partner. From school presentations, event sponsorships, and coalition commitment-they believe in actively bettering the health of the communities they serve. Healthfirst offers services in Adams, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Portage, Sauk, Taylor and Wood counties.
